Student Information
Welcome to MAINZ 2013!
I hope you have all come back from a good summer break refreshed and ready to get into your studies.
MAINZ is a faculty of Tai Poutini Polytechnic which has a history of high course and qualification completions. For example, in 2012, 80% of MAINZ students completed their qualifications. This compares well to around 63% for other polytechnics and 75% at universities, but we want 2013 to be our most successful yet.
MAINZ has everything you need to succeed this year; great teaching staff, excellent facilities and equipment, industry contacts that bring the real world into the classroom, and a student services team dedicated to supporting you in your learning journey.
MAINZ is unique because of the range of music industry programmes we offer and the opportunities this provides for students to mix and collaborate. One of the key things you will need when you graduate and begin developing a career is a network of contacts. Developing that network starts at MAINZ and remember; people like working with people they can rely on. That makes turning up on time not only a good thing to do to ensure you do not miss out on any classes, but marks you as someone others will want to work with in future.
Make sure you take full advantage of everything MAINZ has to offer. I look forward to seeing you around campus, and at graduation!
